Nice Compact Set
This is a nice compact 3/8 set. It comes with pretty much all of the sizes you need for a set of this size. The ratchet handle is very similar to my old Halfords ratchet (this is a good thing). It’s comfortable in use and is good quality. It is not a fine tooth ratchet, so maybe not so good for working in tight spaces - but for all general work it is very good. I only have two minor criticisms, I’m keeping the very reasonable price in mind - so perhaps theses criticisms are harsh. Anyway I think socket selection is a bit fiddly, you can’t see at a glance which one is a 13mm for example and can ended up picking out the 14 instead as an example. Also once you have taken sockets out they can take a little fumbling to put back into the case as they aren’t located individually, they are ... This is a nice compact 3/8 set. A gem and worth every penny.
Beautifully designed, amazingly compact and truly excellent quality. This set has become the basis of my motorcycle’s on the road tool kit. With the addition of a longer extension bar and a few screwdriver and hex bits, it is capable of carrying out a huge range of work. Often put to use in the workshop in favour of 1/2” drive tools due to the small dimensions of the 3/8” drive components improving access in tight spaces, the superb quality means this set is well able to handle heavier work. Beautifully designed, amazingly compact and truly excellent quality. This set has become the basis of my motorcycle’s on the road tool kit. Superb!
I have several Teng tools and they are excellent quality and value for money. As a mobility scooter technician it’s important to have the right tools to do the job. I prefer the non shiny surface as easy to grip and the ratchet handle made from fibreglass is strong and is much less likely to short out anything live.
