      Handy scriber that has kept a sharp edge I do a lot of fine engineering work and this tool has never let me down I would recommend and definitely purchase again

      Nice quality but incorrect point

      An engineer's scriber should have a needle point. This one had a conical point, so that when scribing against a ruler the line waould be at a small distance from the ruler instead of tight up against it, leading to inaccuracy in marking out. I was able to grind it to a needle point myself, so it is now OK.

      Bent scriber

      Item arrived on time . Item appeared to be poorly assembled. Scribe was not straight In handle . It appears to be bonded in , whilst this does not affect use, its does looks shoddy. Otherwise I am happy with hardness of points. Would advise spending a little more to get better quality.

      Ideal for all types of work undertaken.

      The item is ideal for scribing on metal products. It is strong in makeup and ideal with the straight point and curved end. The scriber is useful for other jobs with the two types of ends, length and strength being ideal for working in building surveying and asbestos inspection after the removal of asbestos and checking in areas where it would be impossible to check without this tool. all in all it is useful for so many things depending on your job or hobby.

      No good as a metal scribe

      This is advertised for scoring metal - This really is a waste of time on metal, it's not sharp enough and fails to mark metal work. Have now purchased a Tungsten Tipped scribe which works perfectly. Definitely cannot recommend!
