Does the job well, easy to apply and with a 2nd coat after a week gives added protection and looks great
Does the job well, not 'too' thick (so it penetrates the grain of the wood) , good on either planed / smooth wood or un-planed wood. To be honest I prefer to use this product rather than similar products, I built myself a small shed 8 years ago and coated it with this, the wood I used was a mix of untreated and tanalized pine / white-wood, re-coated with sadolin every 2 years my shed almosts looks as good as the day I built it 8 years ago!! (with added coats of Sadolin every couple of years) . A real pity this product is difficult to find in well known DIY stores , them stocking only the orange/yellow tins of sadolin being of a more thicker consistancy being more suited to wooden front doors & window frames, have used that too with the said with good looking and long lasting results.Does the job well, not 'too' thick (so it penetrates the grain of the wood) , good on either planed / smooth wood or un-planed wood. Great finish and hard wearing
I have used this product for a number of years so I do know it is'nt perfect but as with painting generally it is all about the preparation. Much more time spent on preparation will give great results. I was surprised at some of the negative reviews given but I suspect that perhaps not enough prep work was done in some cases. My only negative view would be the drying/re-coat time, it's just a bit too long because it is a struggle to achieve 2 coats in a day, which would be ideal.
