The only negative is that the whistle mechanism is impossible to use with one hand. It would be better with a spring loaded mechanism that closes the small whistle hole as you let go of the button, as opposed to you having to push from one side to the other. Also the rubber handle is not big enough to use the hot kettle with one hand without touching the hot un-rubberised area. All they needed to do was increase the rubber area beyond the button
