    They have not solved the problem.

    My cooker hood is now several years old and when one of the bulbs failed I tried to source a replacement from three different local electrical suppliers, but each told me the same thing - that they had now been superseded by an LED bulb and the connection was different, so I could not replace with 'like for like'. They advised that I try online and when I spotted these I really thought they were going to be the answer, so I ordered them. However, when I tried to insert the bulb into the aperture, I could not make the connection, because the 'silver body' of the bulb is broader than the bulb it was designed to replace, so it cannot be screwed far enough in to make the contact required to connect to the power source. I am waiting for an electrician I have used many times to advise if there ...
