Shockingly good value for money!
The Kato EF210 requires some fitting of detailing items such as hand rails, and a few items that slot in the roof, however those are purely optional. The box has a small instruction leaflet (in Japanese as the product is primarily designed for the Japanese domestic market) but with clear images it is easy to fit the said accessories should you so desire. As for the motor, it seems to have a fly wheel assembly on it as when you cut the power rather than turn the power down, the locomotive doesnt instantly snap to a stop but instead takes a locomotive length or two in order to stop however despite this, initial throttle response is excellent and will creep forward with the smallest of power requirements, (20% on the dial and she is slowly inching forward) however ramp the dial up and ... Speaking of capability, do not worry about hauling a long train, it will happily handle a long train as I coupled 27 Minitrix and Farish coaches to it and the little locomotive was able to pull the train with ease, helped in part by traction tyres.
