    Good reference, use with other resources.

    Haynes manuals are overall pretty good. I do like the actual pictures instead of diagrams, but often I find the pictures are pretty dark ( black and white). They do occasionally miss a step or torque spec here or there, but mostly on point. I've learned the hard, inconvenient and expensive way, that in this day and age, it's always best to also do some internet research to confirm procedures and torque specs etc.

    Useful If You Do Your Own Auto Repair

    Before YouTube, the Haynes manual was an essential tool for the person who wanted to do their own auto repair. It's still an excellent reference, though (like YouTube) it does have a few blind spots that only a very expensive shop manual is likely to illuminate. All in all, if you're going to work on your own car, I'd say it's a good idea to get yourself the appropriate Haynes manual. You'll be proud of every greasy thumb print you smear onto its information-packed pages.
