Excellent trimmer and easy to use.
This is a very capable Hedge trimmer. The first time I used this was on the Leylandii trees in the rear of the garden. Its lightweight(ish) feature and ease of cutting is a great feature. It took me half the time to cut the hedge back with this nice piece of kit to the other hedge trimmers I own (petrol & battery). It also cuts larger branches with ease. Another good point is the sleeve which can be used to fix on a wall and used as a storage device.This is a very capable Hedge trimmer. Very good tool
A really nice tool of typical Makita quality. The variable speed is very useful as I have a young hedge to trim. The feature that allows the angle of cut to be altered is also very useful. Only one note of caution, the 2 batteries do make it quite heavy for an older person to use. This is not a criticism just an observation. And there are lots of benefits of using batteries over a petrol engine or electric cable.A really nice tool of typical Makita quality. This review is based on first time unboxing and first use only. First thing to comment on this hedge trimmer is WOW it is big! Way bigger than I expected especially compared to my old corded trimmer. The cutting bar is long it says 650mm that is from the hand guard but overall length is around 700mm. It has a little weight to it especially when both batteries are fitted so could be tiring if you have a lot to trim. Upon first use it is very powerful and very sharp because of the long bar cutting straight is much easier and more area is cut with less user effort. It’s great. No cords to pack away or drag about.
