    Great microscope for beginer at an affordable price

    Really impressed with this piece of kit, I wanted a microscope for carrying out beer yeast viability tests but did not want to spend a fortune on one. The Celestron 400 does exactly what i need a an affordable price. The unit is well built and funtions well, the facility to use batteries or plug in transformer provides great versilitity. I was impressed on how sturdy the unit was with the main unit being die cast metal, the other ones I have come accross have been plastic. The only slight gripe I had was the eyepiece fitting into the holder on the microscope was quite loose, there is a groove provided on the eyepiece that looks like an o ring could be fitted there. I have since put a o ring on this to make it a better fit. The unit works fine without this so it was more of a cosmetic ...
