    A OLD favorite

First of all, this album doesn't rock that much ( except for " Turn to stone"). This is a mid-70's " mellow/moody" effort, And I've loved it since high school. In fact, I had not HEARD this album since high school ! The songs range from Joe's trademark humorous ditties than he is known for ("All night laundry mat blues") To the introspective ( Help me thru the night"), to the heavy " Song for Emma"),a song about his young daughter who tragically died in a automobile accident), this album runs through nearly all the emotional spectrums This album grows on you.

  • So What - Joe Walsh

So What is Joe Walsh's best work, and it is well worth listening to -- over and over (another great song of his). I have listened carefully to a lot of music over the years since the late '50s (Buddy Holly's "That'll Be the Day'' is about as far back as I remember) and, as a working journalist, have written reviews for publication, so I hope you will take this as more than the rambling ravings of an old doped-out hippie. (I may BE an old doped out hippie, but I HATE when they call me that) Most everybody has heard "Life's Been Good,'' (from "But Seriously Now, Folks...''), a great song but one that has led too many people to pigeon-hole Walsh as more of a comedian than the rock guitar virtuoso that he is. Consider this: He was asked to become a member of the Eagles when they were at the ...

  • Rock & Roll revielle

Been a Walsh fan sinc " James Gang Days ". Disappointed w/his Eagles period . This cd is original ,not remastered & flawless .An unbeliev able bargain @ less than $3 .Burned up 4 these will be 5&6 .Keep 1 in car . Relate to lyrics w/ comic interludes . Meant to be played "Loud", gets my 60 yr. old self outta bed & kept mov ing thru coffee . I need to get personal .Record's been out there for yrs."Awesome"says generic. What can be said after that ? 3045 characters left.Reason I don't review often .
