Small and light lens. The Tamron AF 55-200mm Di-II LD Macro is a lens aimed at consumers who have bought a DSLR with an 18-55 kit lens, but now want something that covers longer focal lengths. The lens is pretty small and light. The body is plastic and the wide zoom ring has a rubberized grip. Manual focus is achieved by rotating a very narrow ring at the front of the lens. During focus the lens barrel extends and rotates. The lens is not designed for use on full frame cameras, but in fact it "covers" a full 24x36mm frame.Small and light lens. Good value for money; a lens that every DX (crop sensor) user will like
Bought it to resell; i think i got a good price. The good: very light and small lens (about half in size and weight of a 75-300mm); the image quality is above average in this entry level lens range; The bad: «cheap» plastic constrution; zooming in and out is hard, due to the small zoom ring and not-so fluid motion
