The LED backlighting in iMac offers remarkable brightness and energy-efficiency. It includes two processing units, the CPU and the GPU for a powerful response and performance. The Intel Core architecture puts the processor, cache, memory controller, and graphics engine on a single chip. Since data doesn't have as far to travel, you get faster performance and greater efficiency. By implementing an intelligent control system that includes three fans inside, it monitors temperatures and delivers just the right amount of airflow to critical components, all done in an ultra quiet manner. This Apple iMac features the flexible Thunderbolt technology, with one tiny port offering a lightning-fast transfer speed with huge expansion capabilities. The two 10-Gbps data channels per port mean you can transfer data up to 12 times faster than with FireWire 800. What's more, with the Thunderbolt port you can daisy-chain as many as six devices plus a display.

    Great replacement for my old iMac

    This iMac replaced my old one as it had a bad virus, so up to now it’s a lifesaver as a lot of my old software won’t run on my new iMac. So I’m well pleased with my new refurbished iMac and it came with an 18 month warranty, so what’s not to like. :)
