    Works perfectly!

    The screen is large enough and lights up well at a touch for easy viewing. The fact that I'm able to pre-program my preferred temperature settings, and make changes via WiFi using an App on my iPhone or iPad, is a plus, too. But what really sets this thermostat apart for me is my ability to set up security on it and lock the screen so that no-one can just walk up and change the temperature settings. This is great!! I haven't used it yet, but there is also an "Auto" mode which when chosen allows the thermostat to decide whether it necessary turn on the Air Conditioner or the Heat to meet the preferred temperature setting. I would've given it a 5, but the security code used to lock the screen is preset by Honeywell and cannot be changed, so that is just one more thing I have to figure ...

    Ho-hum product but it works. The web interface is the best part.

    Boring interface, somewhat difficult to program. The web interface is great and easy to program. I use the web interface extensively. But this product should be half the price. And it should be a consumer install. I had to have a professional install it and he took 3 tries to get it right. This whole market segment is ripe for standardization and innovation. Unfortunately, this product is very average.

    East to Install, Convenient to Use

    This is a current top-of-the-line standard WiFi 7-day programmable thermostat. Honeywell makes it easy to install with installation videos on YouTube.It is easy to setup by just following the installation manual which comes with the thermostat.You can manage it (initial program and changes) online or through a smartphone app. You can set alerts for a variety of different conditions. No extra batteries are required. It gets 24v power from proper wiring.

    Very Versatile and Feature-Rich 'Stat!

    First off, this Wi-Fi Vision Pro 8000 'stat was an upgrade from a 2013 non-Wi-Fi Honeywell Vision Pro unit that came as part of my 4-Ton Carrier 16-SEER 2-Stage Heat Pump/AC unit install back then. So, the mounting wall plate screw holes were the same and the wiring was to the identical letter terminals (C, Y, W, R etc.) on both units. I did have to replace the old wall-plate with the new one that came with this 'stat. Regardless, I would recommend taking a cell-phone pic of your old 'stat's wiring/terminals just to have a reference before you start. I would also recommend reviewing the install and owner's manuals BEFORE you start, just to better familiarize yourself with the connections and also the basic system configuration and set-up for your type of system- this is absolutely critical ...

    Honeywell Wi-Fi VisionPRO 8000 TH8321WF1001 Ptorammable Thermostat Does It All

    Easy to install if you have a "common" wire available. If not you will likely need to pull a new thermostat cable with at least 6 18 gauge wires. There are no replacable batteries for control power & back-up power. Easy to set-up. Warranty requires professional installation though, not sure why. Has most of the capabilities you will need for controlling a heating & cooling system including a heat pump.
