About this product

Product Information

The author relates his experiences in World War 2 following his capture by the Japanese in Singapore. As a prisoner-of-war he worked in Thailand on the infamous River Kwai railway into Burma. On at least two occasions he believes he was guided in a remarkable way from what could have been certain death. This fact was to prove significant later. Upon his return home after three and a half years, he married his teenage sweetheart. Although happily married, quite inexplicably during the following year, he sank into severe depression. For two years, he sought help from doctors and from the church he had attended from childhood, without result. Then, he accepted help from a man who was not a Christian, but who claimed to have a healing gift from God! Remarkably, his symptoms of depression seemed to disappear! Curious to find out how his churchgoing (for that was all it was at the time) fitted in with this, he decided to investigate the source of his healing. It was at this point that all sorts of things started to happen! The book tells of 'out-of-the-body experiences', involvement with psychics, even to the extent of witnessing ectoplasmic manifestations and all types of 'supernatural' phenomena. Thereafter, everything in his life seemed to go wrong and he descended into terrible spiritual darkness. The story of how he was rescued from this is an exciting one. He was to have a 'Damascus Road' type conversion to the Christian faith, and to become filled powerfully with God's Holy Spirit. In 1979, it was discovered by dignitaries of the Anglican Church that he possessed a ministry of exorcism or, as it is known these days, a ministry of Christian Deliverance. Completely healed of all the diseases contracted as a P.O.W. and since, he continues in his old age to exercise a ministry to the depressed, to the sexually abused, to people affected by involvement in the occult - indeed to all those with inner problems who seek his help. This book gives true accounts of miraculous healings and many examples of deliverance of various kinds. In the final chapter, he shares with those Christians who minister to others insights gained over many years.

The item arrived promptly and well packaged and exactly as described. It was actually better than described, as the condition of this second hand book was described as only "good" in the Seller's description, but when I received it, it was in fact in very good condition! I would definitely buy from this seller again and order more books at a fraction of the normal retail price. Definitely recommend them to others. Many thanks.
