Book as described and luckily still in good condition as the parcel had clearly been allowed to get wet whilst out on delivery

This book reached me in soaking condition as the delivery guy left it alongside an outside bin in the pouring rain and the book was left unreadable, I contacted the seller and within one hour they got back to me to inform me that a new copy would be sent out the next day, two days later a perfect copy arrived , this review is about the seller who was excellent and in future when I purchase a book from EBay it will always be from this seller , superb service that is second to none

  • Infuriating, frustrating and challenging in equal measures. But a "must have" piece of work for anyone interested in politics.

This is an exceptional piece of work. Dunt is someone that clearly understands how our political landscape is structured, and provides a clear indication of the reasons why it is no longer fit for purpose. He also provides a compelling set of arguments for how to mend the broken parts of the system. If you have an interest in politics, this is essential. Well written, thought provoking, damning; there is no doubt that this book will become a key for future improvement.

  • A Constitutional Page-Turner

This is certainly the most compelling read on the British Constitution I've read. Having read one or two, I wouldn't normally expect the subject and the phrase "couldn't put it down" to appear in the same sentence, but this is a book on the current state of affairs in British Politics and the Constitution that I had difficulty putting down. Regardless of your political leaning, this is a well researched and evidenced insightful analysis of how we got to where we are and where we're heading if we don't grasp some nettles and make a number of informed choices. In my view, it is one of the most important books for the UK today, and I hope it is as widely read as its position on best seller lists suggests. If it has caught your eye, don't miss it.

  • Is Westminster fit for purpose?

Very interesting insight into the workings, or not, of Westminster. Something’s I knew, somethings I suspected, somethings I felt ‘God Help Us’!. A good read, especially this, and election year (2024)

  • Good diagnosis - a little week on cures

An accurate assessment with what is wrong in (any) British government, and a few suggestions for improving some of the problems.
