    The SD we have all been waiting for, simply the best one in any scale.

    amazing level of fine surface detail, even more detailed than the larger Zvezda kit. Already pre drilled with hundreds of properly aligned tiny holes ready for lighting. I bought the limited edition with lighting and extra booklet. The modelling booklet is very small and hard to read with only an English translation on the back. It simply covers installation of fibre optics as opposed to what the kit provides which is LED's to shine through the pre drilled holes. Clear parts are included but since the regular parts are already predrilled, the main upside of using the clear parts is the ability to include some of the larger lights in the trenches by using a larger diameter fibre optic and scraping/masking some of the larger areas to be lit. Ultimately I think anyone buying this to build is ...

    Big Box, Small Kit

    This kit is smaller than the old MPC kit of 1977 but unnecessarily packaged in a box more than twice the size of that older kit. The parts have pre-drilled holes for lighting, but at this scale I would argue the holes are too large and out of scale. Overall I'd say this kit is way over-priced for what you actually get. Get the larger Revell/Zvezda kit instead.

    Bandai is the best in the world

    If you know Gunpla, you know Bandai, you know what to expect. If you are new to this company, you only need to know that Bandai is the only hobby manufacturer that continually push the envelop of technology, and they get it right most of the time. There is superb amount of detail in this model, crafted out of the highest quality of material. The plastic molding has always been made in Japan, never anywhere else. The lighting kit included makes this an absolute must have for all fans alike.

    Great kit of the iconic Star Destroyer. The level of detail is fantastic. This is a must have for a Star Wars modeler. The first production run model has several detailed guides to take you step by step building and lighting this kit. A++++
