Good compass - difficult to read thermometer.
Compass is fine for general direction finding. Not great for use with a map but wasn't bought for that. Thermometer is accurate enough but you need to view from a particular angle or the fluid can't be seen clearly. In good light it's fine. Poor light, very hard to make out.

The compass cracked
I don’t know what happened but the compass cracked and leaked fluid before it ever saw the great outdoors. I can’t believe it sufferered any kind of significant impact so must be of very flimsy construction. I had to remove all of the compass plastic and hope the thermometer fares better.
