    Best Prime Telephoto

Although I have yeast problems before, this is the first time that I've ever used the telephoto Prime and how to mitt it is really really great. The lens exterior was in perfect condition there wasn't any of scratches or dents, the glass did have a bit of dust but it's just a little bit, it did not affect the image quality whatsoever even with the aperture all the way up, so that was not a problem. The image quality was also really great I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and it has a really sharp and really nice shallow depth of field.

  • I'm very pleased.

This lens is better than the 135mm lens I used back in the 1970s, a Celtic on which the rubber focusing ring eventually dried out and cracked. This "new" vintage MC Rokkor cost me a good deal less money and is in much better condition. The image is bright and sharp edge-to-edge and corner-to-corner with very little evident vignetting. The mechanics all work smoothly. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. Thank you!

  • One of the sharpest 135mm vintage lenses under $100 US.

I purchased a few 135mm lenses and adapters to test on my Fuji X-T2. Some lenses disappointed me and others (like this one) pleasantly surprised me. Some of the older lenses, especially wide open, have more of a misty/foggy effect that makes it unusable - except for portraiture. This lens has very good contrast and sharpness overall. I have compared this lens with other 135mm lenses like Super Takumar (m32), SMC Takumar (Pentax K mount), and others. The Minolta MC Tele Rokkor PF is fine for portraiture. Wide open it is sharp in the center, and the corners are soft. The bokeh is very pleasing and the lens handles well. Since this is a manual lens, to test this lens properly use a tripod. The tiniest movement will make the lens appear to be soft at lower shutter speeds. This is ...

  • Color Rendition is very pleasant on my Fuji XT-10

This Minolta Glass is top notch even by today's standards. Used with an adaptor on my digital I get nice shallow depth of field, good color and sharpness where I want it. nice portrait lens at comfortable working distance. Plus even though I loose autofocus and the have to keep an eye on exposure, I get great results without paying for the nice Fuji Glass.

  • a must have along with the 55mm f1.7.

old school lens + new camera = great photos. using this on a olympus PEN and the results are FAR BETTER than any new lens i could afford. yes, no auto-focus and it's a bear to focus without lcd image stabilization. still, like photography in general, patience is rewarded! folks look at my pics and say "wow!", "are you a professional?", "can i hire you?" part of it is me, but a big part is the ROKKOR+patience.
