Additional Information
Set during one of the Second World War's most shocking and unforgettable battles - the battle of Hurtgen Forest in the Autumn of 1944. American forces are under orders to secure a bridge flanked by enemy tanks. Men already trapped in a hellish minefield face death from all sides as shells rain down from the sky. Hundreds of lives have been lost, and the surviving troops are bloodied and shell-shocked. There are only four renegade soldiers remaining, who all have one thing in common: a desperate will to stay alive.

This is an outstanding seller to deal with. Fair prices that are more than reasonable in this economy. The product is in better condition than described, a true value for my money. Packaged and shipped well shows seller has concern for the products he sells to arrive in excellent condition. The seller is friendly and communicates timely. I highly recommend this seller and would do business again anytime. Thank you.

Book safely packaged and delivered promptly. Item as described. Very impressed by the quick delivery of this book. This is a great book (I am familiar with earlier editions) and a must have for those interested in audio recording, to get this edition for a great price was a complete no brainer. Would recommended this seller. No communication needed, really, with such a quick delivery- but clearly communicated as to dispatch. Thank you, WeBuyBooks.

  • When Trumpets Fade

Set in WW11 just before the battle of the Buldge this film follows the carnage and slaughter of warfare through the eyes of one man who through terrible losses finds himself promoted. Basically the character is not a very likable person and for me this affects the enjoyability of the picture. Do you think Tom Hanks in'Saving Private Ryan' would shoot one of his one men if they falter in battle ??? Anyway, he along with a few other troops set off on the eve of an advance in which they know a German barrage will cause a massacre upon them. There plan in to silence the guns and save lives. Is this his only reason for setting off on this mission or has he got hidden motives ? I won't give away the story but be warned, although it is an enjoyable movie with good action sequences,it is not a patch ...

  • WHEN TRUMPETS FADE

Extremely underrated movie suffered by release at the same time as Band of Brothers. Thoroughly enjoyable

  • poingnant tale of the horror of war. least we forget

I love this film. A genre that has re-vamped since the advent of Saving Private Ryan. Deep and brutal in it's honesty A true reflection of the carnage and hell that the young men of the day were subjected to. A must see for the true war/movie fan.
