1930's Bowton through the looking glass of Mass Observation.
Is the content compelling? It is if you are interested in how people lived back in pre war North west England - in what was called 'Worktown', but was in fact Bolton, which is where I was born and my mums family are from. However, if you are not interested in social history and hate detail, then I would avoid this. I found it to be an informative 'looking glass' into the lives of the pub-going society that my grandparents lived through.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
