Brilliant though a bit 'boxy'
I like these speakers. I own a pair of Celestion Ditton 44's so i can justifiably criticise most speakers without people thinking i don't know what i'm talking about. Right then, these. Awesome. Lovely sounding speaker with voices. They could cost 3 times more if voices are what you buy a speaker for and you'd never complain about the price. Bass though not monumental is fast and separation is ridiculously good for a 2 way. I have 2 criticisms though. One is that even blindfolded you'd be able to point to exactly where these are positioned when they're being used. I tried it and got it right every time in a room that measured 18ft by 14ft. It's a small criticism though. Second criticism is that i'm not too sure they should have been partnered with a metal tweeter, even though i know B&W ... I like these speakers. It can pierce a bit when there's no call for it. It doesn't happen too regularly but it's noticeable when it does. Not sure i'd recommend them for Classical or Acoustic fans too quickly then. That tweeter would surely become an issue for the Classical fans and bass doesn't extend enough for acoustic fans to be enjoyable especially over a long listen. With modern popular stuff though they're an absolte superstar. I put them up against a pair of Dali Zensor 3's last weekend and to my ears and they other 2 people listening the B&W's sounded like they arranged and controlled things better. One of the fellas called them a more grown up speaker.

Lack of bass and very bright.
Useless without subwoofer. They has so much treble that they creating hum. But voices are amazing and detailed. Invest in subwoofer and it would be epic.
