  • Great controller, meh keyboard

I use the Impulse 61 as part of my live setup with MainStage. All the faders, buttons, knobs and pads map easily to MainStage. A minor gripe is that in order to use the transpose feature you first have to press both transpose buttons then use the knob to the right of the display to change the value. So what should be a quick left hand affair becomes a much longer sequence. If you play live and have to change keys of a song on the fly, you'll understand why it should be as quick and with as few steps as possible. A major grip is the action of the keyboard itself. The reviews I've read dubbed the action better than the SL MK II and that piano players prefer the Impulse keys. For me the action is not even close to semi-weighted. The M-Audio Axiom has a better feel than this and the Axiom ...

  • Great controller

Love the feel of these keys. For years I was using small weak plastic keys. This feels great in the hands. Great upgrade to the home studio!

  • Fantastic Response and well made.

Bought this on a whim and didn't realise how good it actually was. The level of control with the touch sensitivity is awesome. So too for the pads. Setting up Midi was a challenge. But once it was set up it worked flawlessly and integrated with Cubase, Ignite, Pro-Tools and Ableton Live without any issues. The AutoMap Server can be customised with a bit of fiddling. Overall, they don't get much better.

  • Excellent!

This controller is arguably the best one on the market. The software works seamlessly with my DAW. Well thought-out and well built. Very pleased with it, indeed.

  • Great keyboard

I'm new to MIDI so there's a bit of a learning curve with this, but after some initial struggling it is suiting my purposes very well. Very nice product.
