    Versatile Adjustable Kit that Lasts

    This is a versatile adjustable kit that lasted me about 10 years. I'm replacing it now, and glad to get the same equipment. It looks like one needs to do this repair (replace all water closet parts) about that time period, because the chlorine (or other disinfectant) in the water in most places will probably ruin the rubber parts and corrode the brass parts in about that time, even if you don't live in Detroit (hope you folks have that straightened out by now!). This time the flapper valve had warped and was a slow leak. I was annoyed by that, until I looked and saw that everything else was at the end of its service life, too. If you don't (for example) replace the two bolts that hold the water closet on the toilet before they, or the washers, fail, you could end up with a flood, so ...

    Even a rookie can install

    Arrived promptly; as advertised; all parts and pieces were included. I've never done this before, took me a couple hours. Do yourself a favor and get a big channel pick pliers (3"). I have great neighbors to borrow from. Also little sleeve on fill valve had risen up so I couldn't adjust it, and took me a long time to figure that out. Make sure it's pushed all the way down so you can adjust height. I had water leaking down inside of bowl; this fixed that problem. Just had to give it a while for valve gasket to seat
