A deeply beautiful and witty tale of wonder!
James Gurney is an absolute genius at both storytelling and painting, almost literally bringing the people, creatures and lands of Dinotopia to life! This is one of the most beautiful and delightful books I have ever seen, and also one of the most amusing and clever stories. It is every bit as artistic and inspiring as Gurney's first three Dinotopia books, yet has even more descriptive diagrams of the wondrous places to which Arthur Denison and Bix travel. Bix is her usual cute, sweet and lovable self, and greatly helps Arthur by using her vast wisdom and knowledge of the island with its many inhabitants and customs. The only thing lacking in this story is that there is very little of Oriana or Sylvia. Yet there are many new innovations such as a village of upturned sailing ships, a ... This is a coffee table book of the highest quality, overflowing with wondrous images of the most astonishing detail. I would highly recommend it to all lovers of fantasy, dinosaurs, beautiful places, or lifelike art in its highest expression!

Science, Art & an interesting scenario for all ages
A fan of the Dinotopian world, this was a book I was looking for my collection. Its story arc is not as strong as previous works but is still satisfying. The art draws me into this world. My offspring grew up, caught by the art, technology and scenarios, and have remained active STEaM participators. Thank you, James Gurney, for being another touchpoint that encouraged them to continue with a life-long passion for science and arts (and dinosaurs). The Dinotopian world even inspires me and I'm happy to have another book to read..A fan of the Dinotopian world, this was a book I was looking for my collection.
