Boring
Lots of information about setting up a fly fishing rod. Not a lot of information about casting technique, fly selection, equipment, or river fishing. Bit boring watching the two guys fish.

i bought this thinking i would learn about casting, there was none of that in it, just the very basics for a complete novice...did not pay much so was not all bad

a very basic dvd which is usefull to beginers only
found this dvd usefull. its on for 60 mins. very basic but did get a few tips out of it. 1. intro 2.takle set up-backing to reel 3.line to backing 4.loop to line 5.leader to loop 6.good flys to use dry 7.join iain barr then simon gawesworth for some techniqes

more for a novice than a beginner,
in its own right a good fishing dvd, but it was bought for a total beginner, and this was suppose to be for a beginner, but would say it was more for a novice, didnt show a beginner how to get started with tying on flys,casting,the full steps basically on how to start off , they dont really explain what they are talking about, so as a beginner you would be lost, it wasnt sutable for the purpose that we bought it for,was really dissapointed, but like i said at the start someone who has a basic knowledge this dvd is fine, but not for a beginner that is totally starting out in fly fishing.in its own right a good fishing dvd, but it was bought for a total beginner, and this was suppose to be for a beginner, but would say it was more for a novice, didnt show a beginner how to get started with tying on flys,casting,the full steps basically on how to start off , they dont really explain what they are talking about, so as a beginner you would be lost, it wasnt sutable for the purpose that we bought it for,was really dissapointed, but like i said at the start someone who has a basic knowledge this dvd is fine, but not for a beginner that is totally starting out in fly fishing.

interesting to watch
i brought this because i am just starting out with fly fishing and needed to get as much info as possible. this dvd had some very helpful tips and hints on how to set up your fly line and leader which i'm sure i will use. i do recomend this for a beginner as it is back to basics.
