Useless for treadmills with stationary arms
I use a treadmill for my treadmill desk and I wanted the foot pod so I could keep working and still count my steps. However, it does not count steps at all unless the watch is moving as well, so this item is functionally useless unless the arms are moving too. It also frequently disconnects unless a specific exercise mode is on, so it's hard to even passively use it for day to day step counting.

Great bit of kit
It does exactly what it says in the description. If you want to keep a log of your indoor running then this will do the job for you. Took seconds to pair up with my existing Garmin watch.

Good but could be better
Impossible to find compatible shoes with the mid-sole pocket. No good if you were slip-on shoes with no laces. The lace clip could be redesigned so it can clip on to slip-on shoes. Other wise is seems to work just fine, but maybe alittle bit inaccurate.
