  • Classic game in working order

I surprised my brother with this game when he visited. He played the entire game and beat it in one sitting. He got discouraged at "The Final Marathon" but managed to pull through and beat it. Good Times.

  • Great classic game.

In the early 90's, I bought my first copy and I was hooked. Very unique and fun game that delivers tons of gameplay and should be added to everyone's collection.

  • A game you will never beat!

Kid Chameleon was released in 1992 on the Sega Genesis and later ported to PC. The game is a fairly unique platformer with some ideas of Super Mario thrown in. Like Mario you can smash blocks with your head to find items as well as turn into different characters (like Mario 3) that possess different powers. For a game with 100+ levels/1850+ screens that means you have to complete this insanely difficult game in one sitting every time, which means completing the same levels over and over again. BORING!! This major flaw holds Kid Chameleon back from being a classic but instead making it only average at best. 2 1/2 out 5 ...

  • Best genesis Game

This is hands down my favorite Game on the Sega Genesis. The player, as Kid Chameleon, progresses through a series of levels. Most levels contain a flag, which is the primary goal of each level, from which the player progresses to the next level. However, a number of teleporters throughout the game can warp the player not only to different places in the same level, but also to different levels, and sometimes to an entirely different path through the game. At the end of the game, Kid fights and defeats the final boss, Heady Metal. Kid Chameleon contains nearly a hundred levels, of which only about half are on the "main path" (traversing levels only by flags), and also counts the two-dozen smaller unnamed levels, simply called "Elsewhere". Despite the game's considerable length, there was ...
