Superb head unit with bags of power
After installing this unit, it did have a couple of strange glitches but these disappeared after a couple of days. The first was with the radio, it would not stay on a preset, it scrolled through all 18 presets, over & over. The following day, it stayed on a preset for maybe 15 mins, then skipped to another. During use, the following day, this stopped happening & the next day the issue was gone, never to return again. The other glitch was when selecting the source, if playing the radio & wanting to switch to ipod, it would stay flashing & not switch source. Turning it off & on again, cleared this fault. It did this regularly for the first 2 days, then disappeared like the other glitch, never to be seen again. Since those glitches have cleared, the head unit has been a pleasure to use & ... Since those glitches have cleared, the head unit has been a pleasure to use & enjoy listening to. The sound quality is excellent & the power is as much as anyone should ever need. I'd guess it's around 45-50w, RMS, which is plenty loud enough. I have an active 100w RMS subwoofer coupled to it, so I can use the full power of the head unit to drive front & rear speakers. The built in crossover modes, many sound enhancement modes, graphic equiliser, make setting the optimum sound easy. The Bluetooth connectivity & music app give you the power to control & change many things from your phone, which is a great feature. The included microphone, gives you a hands free phone, using the speakers of your vehicle. The head unit can control your phone, or you can use voice commands, which is pretty neat. The display is clear & bright, with a multitude of colour choices, to suit your vehicle or your mood. The buttons are clear & the unit is intuitive use, with all the menus nicely organised. All in all, it looks good, sounds good & has every feature you could possibly need. I highly recommend this head unit & would buy another, should someone steal mine.
