This is a fantastic upgrade to any OEM or aftermarket headunit that does not run an auxiliary amplifier (the built in amps in head units very rarely provide sufficient power for deep bass, and standard sized car speakers cant deliver the very low frequencies anyway). If you want a deeper bass and overall richer sound without sacrificing boot space and keeping the interior of your car standard looking, this is a great product. The seats in my car are fully electric and have ventilation ducts underneath, yet the compact size of this sub meant it did not interfere with wiring, motor function, but I did remove the vent unit to fit it all the way forward so rear passenger can still slide their feet under the driver's seat. There are two versions of this product: one with a remote for audio control, and one without. I opted for without because I wanted to keep the interior standard looking and uncluttered. I would recommend setting the gain level prior to mounting and wiring to suit your preference, ideally with more bass than you would like on your previous head unit settings so you can then tune the bass down on your head unit to take the strain off the headunit amp and the speakers. If you have the remote it does not matter as you can adjust without unmounting / disconnecting wiring in restricted space. Last point to note, if you connect positive and negative to your battery and the unit does not power up, check that your blue remote power wire from your head unit is feeding 12v otherwise it will behaveclikevit is dead. My head unit was defective and not providing signal to switch sub amp on. Quick check with a voltmeter and trying another head unit and it was up and running.Read full review

So i have a lupo with a JVC headunit. Wired in with a cupple fuse jumpers adpters one for power and another for the switch remote. Surprisingly powerfull for its size once set up but notes the gain needs turning up to 60% or more for it to be worth the money. Would definitely buy again and reconned it to a friend. Super easy to install the hardest part was tucking the wires. A very good alternative to haveing a ported box

I run a single cab Defender the stereo was terrible all top end, despite me changing the dash speakers. Any bass or midrange was non existant. The other issue is tghat there's absolutely no space for a speaker box, hence me giving this unit a go. It's still not perfect, I'm still fiddling with settings, but, it's a night and day improvement! It's easy to install andf really good quality. I'd definitely buy one again, very happy indeed with it!

This under seat subwoofer is absolutely superb. It was quite easy and simple to install. Once it is set-up correctly it really makes a difference to the overall sound. Ok, it can't compete with a dedicated large subwoofer. However, it's output compliments the stereo output in a balanced way without being overpowering. It definitely can and does manager to rattle anything loose in the car when The volume is turned up. The other benefit is that it fits comfortably under the seat so it is out of sight.
