Arrived in poor condition. Due solely to the negligent lack of any packaging. Just placed in a grey plastic bag. Not good enough and showed complete lack of respect for the buyer and product. I asked for a new case to replace cracked one just offered partial refund or " return". Had me over a barrel as the CD is very hard to source and isn't cheap. So had no choice but to accept the partial refund. Not happy at all! Poor service in every regard.

David Sylvian at his most accessible.
I'd rate this album, along with "Brilliant Trees" as the most accessible of Sylvian's work. There's not a note wasted in the whole album and it contains some of his most melodic songs, full of yearning and introspection.......beautiful. "Orpheus" alone would stand as a perfect introduction to David's songwriting genius.

David Sylvian - Secrets of the Beehive (remastered)
This is a concise album that flows from beginning to end with no real weak spots or unending instrumentals that capture your imagination for 1 minute but then drag on meaninglessly. I suppose this album is familiar territory, you know what it's going to sound like before you play the album, and once you're listening to it, it's like put on a pair of comfortable slippers. It's warm and encompassing. A good introduction to David Sylvian for those unfamiliar with his work and don't like compliations such as 'Everything and Nothing' (although an excellent journey through his work, it is). secrets of the beehive (remastered edition)
This album is beautiful in it's entireity and this remastered version is just the cream on the top of it.It's a must have for anyone's collection.
