Product review.
I had the vinyl for years and just brought the new CD as a treat for myself. If anything, like all CDs, they are overmastered and the sound lacks the rawness of vinyl, which I always enjoy. A nice enough thing, though.

The original new age space age saga
I had to get this solo offering from Jon to complete my return journey to being a carefree teenager. In traditional prog style, Olias tells the story of a doomed planet and one being's visionary quest to build a liferaft in space. Now if you are under the age of 30, I don't want you shaking your head in disbelief. What Jon has created here is a true masterpiece of sonic sound scapes which swirl and soar and gently bring you in and uplift your spirits. Best played loud and in a darkened room with an open fire or an astro lamp. The tunes are as fresh today as they were when I had hair and for a new generation of kids there is that ambience that chill out music and new agen music offers. Of course this was produced before the term 'new age music' was even a foetus. Although it would benefit ... Although it would benefit from a full digital remaster by Ocean View digital or Sterling Sound, becuase this transfer to CD was in 1996 they have actually made a good attempt at preseving the saound stage and frequencies without losing much of the attack and decay and it does play quite well alongside the Yes remsters and yet the single porly printed library sleave insert does not do justice to the original artwork. This version is a german pressed Atlantic records version and can be had for luch money from the excellent Barney's music
