This thing is a beast. I have it providing the main filtration for my 125 and it does it with ease. My only recommendation is to buy additional bio media and FX6 specific inner sponges to make this thing perfection. Ironically, it is also the quietest of my cannister filters, even though its the size of a fat bucket. I also love the fact that it bleeds the air off everyday and has become a telltale sign for me that the time is 1200. Worth every penny.

This is a heavy duty and well built unit. Well thought out with innovative features. I would actually give it 4.5 Stars. I cannot give it five because of the. 3 units I ordered, only 1worked right out of the box. The impellers were not seated correctly so after setting it up and plugging it in “ NOTHING”. Like so many things there are those folks who have spent some time looking at ways to improve on something good so search for improvement hacks because there are plenty of creative ways to improve on the filtration.
