Good, clean, straightforward fun. Makes a pleasat change!
It's genuine entertainment with no pretensions, no covert or not so covert political message and no smutty language or innuendo. Most of the actors get into their roles, simple typecasts, and attract our sympathy. One or two of the stories a bit dodgy, (oh Agatha - written to deadlines?) but the majority just good fun. Pity there weren't more Parker Pyne stories.

THIS COLLECTION WAS CERTAINLY NOT THE BEST OF THE MANY ADAPTATIONS OF AGATHA CHRISTIES BOOKS, IT WAS QUITE LIKE WATCHING STAGE PLAYS THAT WERE NOT TOO WELL ACTED BUT THAT IS JUST MY OPINION. I DID NOT CARE FOR THIS COLLECTION

Having recently watched Miss Marple I bought this DVD set but it is very dated. It was made by Thames TV in the studios the acting is so wooden and dialogue is terrible. Don't buy this is you are looking for the quality of Marple or Poirot
