Worth paying the extra for quality and peace of mind
In my opinion Bosch make excellent appliances. I had a Bosch Fridge Freezer for years and had no problems, This small freezer is an addition for more storage and does a perfect job. Quiet, efficient and plenty of volume. I miss the frost free aspect but my research revealed that quite a bit of storage space has to be given up to facilitate this feature. I decided to spend more money on the Bosch because, unlike the cheaper alternatives, it offers 25hrs of keeping the food frozen in the event of a power failure vs. only ~12 for many others. This is a definite plus for me. Nice big drawers and typical build quality. Recommended.In my opinion Bosch make excellent appliances. Bosch GTV15NWEAG 83L Freestanding Freezer - the jury is out!
Yes, it is quiet and it does seem well designed, albeit a bit smaller than it's predecessor. Is it good value for money? Not sure at this stage; it's a case of the proof of the pudding. Ask me again in 4 years time.
