About this product

Product Information

Action and adventure combine with acrobatics and swordplay in the game Wet for Microsoft Xbox 360. This game was developed by Artificial Mind and Movement and published by Bethesda Softworks with a release date of September 2009 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (PS3). It is an innovative single-player third-person shooter action game. Wet revolves around the main character named Rubi who is a high-flying acrobatic gunslinger. Rubi is considered a “problem-solver” which, in this game, means she is a bounty hunter and general mercenary. The action begins when Rubi is hired to retrieve a briefcase that had been hijacked by a gang. After a bloody battle, she successfully obtains the case and delivers it to a hospital where she discovers that inside is a human heart. This heart is needed for a transplant for a very powerful man named William Ackers. One year later she is approached by Mr. Ackers in her Texas hideout and he offers a job to rescue his son in Hong Kong, who has fallen into a bad crowd. Rubi accepts the job and is able to continue on her journey to Hong Kong, where the game really begins to take off. The player navigates with Rubi through Hong Kong’s stylish underworld, where Rubi encounters some unexpected enemies and situations. It’s up to the player to navigate Rubi through these scenes and accomplish her goals. But as Wet carries on with it’s complex tale of action-packed adventure, deceit, and suspense Rubi’s adventure spans three different continents and a mind-boggling array of dangerous situations. Throughout gameplay in Wet, Rubi must rely on stealth to fight off her many attackers, using a variety of combat techniques. By default, she carries two pistols and a sword, but can also carry dual shotguns, submachine guns, or crossbows. The player can combine Rubi’s acrobatic skills with her fancy weapon handling to create visually-stunning jumps, slides and cool maneuvers, like running on walls. During these acrobatic techniques, the game enters slow motion mode which activates auto-aim, giving her the ability to kill multiple enemy characters at once. She can even combine different attack techniques to multiply kill count, which will increase the score and rate at which Rubi’s health can regenerate. Another way to regenerate health is to find and collect bottles of whiskey. During some areas of the game, Rubi’s face gets covered in blood and she enters a murderous rage in which she becomes faster, stronger, and can defeat multiple enemies at once. At the end of each stage in the game, the player is graded on three different factors: completion time, acrobatics, and average multiplier (high body count). Style points are given depending on the rating for each factor. These points allow the player to purchase upgrades for the character and her weapons. These upgrades include things such as health blocks or increased firing rate and damage. Wet for Xbox 360 is a great game for players who love action, adventure, and suspense and is rated M for mature meaning players should be seventeen or older. This rating is set due to blood and gore, drug reference, intense violence, sexual content, and strong language.

Item is, and was exactly as described. I wasn't expecting it to have a hard case, which it came with. So that was a plus. No issues with with the seller. Smooth as silk transaction. Or easy as pie, since today is memorial Day. 🇺🇸🇺🇸😎

    Entertaining game for the price

A shooting game were you do slow-motion and acrobatic kills. It's a fun but kind of buggy game with a lot of charm. Definitely worth the price I paid to play this game.

  • Dont pay more than 20 bucks for it.

Blood, guns, swords, asians, and a hot chick. Its got it all, right?... Not so much. =/ The game was really fun in the beginning, shooting and slashing dudes up in slo-mo, jumping from wall to wall. And the car chase scenes are really original with its use of "real time". Also, the soundtrack for this game is pretty awesome, as they compliment the gritty, grindhouse feel to this game. But after you have played through about three levels, you have pretty much played through the whole game. (Not meaning that you finish it, but that after this point, there is such little change to the gameplay and level objectives that it gets extremely repetitive) Its pretty much just kill everyone, close spawning doors, and jump here for every single level. It just gets really old. And there arent even any ...

  • Wet Review - Fun Single Player Slice and Shoot Game

I like the slow motion shooting while doing acrobatic moves. Shooting two people while flying through the air, sliding across the floor, sliding down ladders, etc. The traffic maps are very fun, jumping from car to car while trying to shoot people who are shooting at you from their car windows. Some of the things that I wish were possible include driving vehicles and playing multi-player. I also wish the game were longer, it took a day... although I guess I do have about half of the achievements yet to get. The "extra content" consists of biographies of the characters and some concept art. There are also challenges which include repeating any level to try getting higher scores and doing the "boneyard challenges" which is a bunch of courses with targets to hit while running through. The ...

  • good change of pace from the usual shooters, such as COD.

Bought this game after having tried the demo from xbox live silver. it's a fun game, with pretty interesting characters. more so, you have to find little toy monkeys in each level, which adds a sense of humor to the game outside the dialogue. as the description says, most of the characters are pretty over-stylized, meaning their personalities are to the extremes. over all, it's a good game, but not one that I HAD to play before I die. just and interesting change of pace from the usual games in the shooter genre. P.S. in the true 70's style, they include a film scratch over lay to the game that can be annoying, however, you are able to turn that off in the options menu.

  • A good game overall

I would say this is a fun game, I enjoyed plying in and the extra content is pretty enjoyable too. The collectibles are not to hard to find, and there is an infinite number of combos that you can easily do, by just changing up the several moves that you know. Though the game could be a little longer, it is definitely one that I will be beating again. I would say that it is a cross between Mirrors Edge and call of duty, in the fact that it is a shooter and that it has a bunch of acrobatics that are not difficult to learn, and are easy to apply in a fight. I would recommend this game.
