A nice follow up from the original title; added and expanded with two new additional classes and new multiple locations to go to. Not as great as the original; but definitely a great product nonetheless. Capable of uploading your previous character saves from the original game and going to an even new difficultly instead of the typical three for even more challenge. A great game to play by yourself or with up to four people offline at that. Not sure if you can still connect through the network without an outside LAN edit. Definitely recommend.

Obviously the game is old but I loved playing it when it came out and it has that nice hint of nostalgia. The graphics aren't awesome and we had to turn up the brightness to see OK but fun otherwise.

This sequel to Champions of Norrath continues the battles of the first game. There are seven classes of characters to choose from, each with a male and female version. Additionally, if you have played Champions of Norrath, you can import your character! In the first level, you can pick to play either on the "good" or "evil" side. The missions you play are slightly different depending on which side you choose. Best of all, once you complete the game on one difficulty setting, you can restart the game with the character you've already beaten the game with. This allows you to create a very powerful character. The graphics are bright and colourful, and the frame rate remains consistent even with many enemies on the screen. The lighting system produces some wonderful moody atmospheres. The music is good, though slightly repetitive, and the sound effects are fun. Best of all, the spell-book is much improved over the original Champions of Norrath game: that game only allowed you to use two spells at any given time. Return to Arms permits you to you use any spell in your book by use of the directional pad.Read full review
I have spent many hours playing this game, but only with friends. This is a great multiplayer game and has improved upon it's predecessor, Champions of Norrath, with game speed, control, and multiplayer options. The game gives you two new characters in addition to the original ones seen in CoN. (Champions of Norrath) There are new items, weapons, and a new storyline that is both interesting and fast-paced. Where the game falters are the unfortunate but occasional crashes that occur with four players. However, as long as the player saves at every save point, there should be no problem. Overall, the game is very enjoyable and offers a lot of fun with friends. The one-player game is challenging, but falls short of the enjoyment found in a multiplayer game. The strength of this game is indeed not it's storyline, weapons, etc., but it's multiplayer capabilities. Pros -Good graphics -Long Game -Great mulitplayer Cons -Almost no story -the sound is ok -can't export online characters -1 player can boring being aloneRead full review
I bought this game initially because my kids were given about 2-3 yrs ago the first game of this duo, that being Champions of Norrath: Realms of Ever quest. We as a family would play it on and off not really doing much with it until this past summer when my husband began playing it just so it would get played finally. From that day, both our son’s joined him on the game and then at some point, I jumped in with them.. We played each level start to finish and admitted we wanted to know if there was a follow up to it. So upon doing a bit of homework I did find out there was this game, CRtA and decided to make the jump to purchase it so we could continue to play on.. The only thing we don’t like about this game is that once you start a game, there is no importing or exporting of a character.. Your stuck with what you got, meaning if my son wants my husband to join him 3 planes in, he can’t because it won’t allow that to happen. A whole new game would need to be started in order for him to join in at all. And it takes far too long to level up. As where in Norrath, you leveled up pretty fast.. This go, it takes a while to do it. Other then these two thing, I don’t think there is anything else Id personally change about the game.. Well maybe have a continued follow up, which from reading, there wont be at all.. This is the last of this series.. And I honestly don’t know if there is any other games that fall in the Ever Quest line that would be like this.. ( that don’t require us to use the PC that is. Or broadband in order to play the game.. We only play platform games.. )Read full review
This game is very, very difficult. What i have been doing is replaying levels i.e. quitting a mission and then restarting it/them. I only am doing this to increase skills and hopefully get better weapons and armor. If you want to spend time on a game, then this is for you. I thoroughly enjoy playing it and when i AM able to defeat bosses or complete medal rounds, it truly is rewarding!! I think that these games Champions of Norrath & Champions Return to Arms are way better than both Baldur's gate's games.

I love this game, played it til it wouldn't play any longer. That was years ago...found it here and paid More than I should have for an old game, but I'm thrilled to have it back! Perfect hack and slash game. Great for current day stress!

game is good. I like the new characters that are added from the first game. I do however, do not like really that they no longer allow you to import characters or to load a game in the middle of a game. If you want to play with a friend after already starting, you have to start all over. I do like the new arena feature, allowing the character to keep on fighting enemies in waves. I do not like that you cannot save your character in this mode. This means that the character can level up in this mode, but will do no good because you cannot save. All in all good game, just stuff that you cannot do from the first game that bugs me now.
This has been one of the best and easiest transactions I’ve ever done, communication was excellent, product purchased is being play right now and works beautifully, there was no game cover or plastic on case but that was already expected when purchasing I’ve no complaints only positive marks!

I have been trying to find this game in a store or Swap shop for ages now since my original CoN Return to Arms wore out from use! The CoN franchise is probably, imo, one of the best RPG hack'n'Slash style games that the PS2 ever came out with! It is a very easy game to get into and you don't have to play the first CoN to play this one although one of my favorite features of this game is that you are allowed to import characters from the first Champions game onto this one, the 2nd! So if you have a level 50ish character that you still like to play from CoN, you can import him into Return to Arms and continue playing him and leveling him as there is a higher level cap in this game from the first! I LOVE that feature! All in all, this game is good to play anytime and is great for getting together with a few friends, hooking up a 4 way adapter and running around with all your friends hacking and slashing your way through Norrath! I just recieved my game today in the mail, it seems the only place to buy Return to Arms is online and thank god for E-bay! I bought mine through "Bigelowgames" and they shipped it the very same day and it only took 9 days to get to me here in Canada from Arizona! I am VERY pleased with the prompt service and cannot WAIT to get into this awesome game again as it has been a few years since i last played! ENJOY!Read full review
