You can tell Elvis himself wrote this book and we are better off that he did. Honest, candid, with a great knack of storytelling, of course, especially his childhood and British upbringing. But he was also there during the punk rock movement and his escapades later in America, too. Not much is left out and it is fascinating to read his side of things. A star unafraid to admit his insecurities. A man of great talent, unafraid to admit his limitations. He is great...

Some autobiographies, as we all know, are actually ghost written. I get the feeling Elvis actually wrote this and it's a great read. It's got lots of great info in it and is substantial (not one of those ones you read in a day, with big type and thick pages). It jumps around in flashbacks a bit too much but you actually get used to that pretty quick. This was a much better "read" than the one I'm reading know by an old Pretender...!
