One of the most important sports franchises in the history of home video gaming suits up for play on a brand new console system with this release of Madden NFL 2002 for the GameCube. Many well-learned conventions and well-loved aspects of the long-lived Madden series remain in place as the title comes to the 128-bit generation Nintendo console for the first time. As usual, the game is licensed to include all the teams and players from the most recent (2000-2001) season and commentary is delivered by perennial hosts John Madden and Pat Summerall. Timing, control, and interface are designed to be immediately recognizable to those who have played earlier versions of the game on other systems, while graphics and presentation make use of the technical superiority of the Cube.

    A classic

    Madden always has and always will be a classic. My only negative comment is that my team wasn't good the year before the game came out so the game play is pretty frustrating.
