The film/ cinematography was very well done and matched much of the original style (with black and white cut scenes to drunken scenes of skipping from one spot to the next). The acting was fairly good. The brothers did a great job and although I was slightly disappointed with the "villain" it was still enjoyable. The action was superb! The same slow motion/ music/ crime scene reminiscing was great. The action was far superior to the first movie The music was perfect. Once again, there was an excellent eclectic blend of music to match the tone and color of the movie. Whether it was techno, Celtic, or a blend of the two, the music was, once again, memorable. The story was very well done. I will not include spoilers, but I thoroughly enjoyed the past aspect of the movie as it explained a great deal more and gave you some more foundation as to where the family truly comes from. Overall the movie was just spectacular! I would highly recommend seeing it as I am an enormous fan of the first and the second one, in my opinion was just as fun!Read full review

The film takes place eight years after the events of the original Boondock Saints, as sibling vigilantes Connor (Flanery) and Murphy (Reedus) are living a quiet life with their father, the former assassin known as "Il Duce". However, they are drawn back into action after someone attempts to frame the brothers for the murder of a priest in Boston. The duo travel back to the United States, where they meet some old friends and are pursued by Eunice Bloom (Julie Benz), FBI agent and former protégé of the first film's Agent Smecker.
If you liked the first, watch this. If you didn't like the first, watch it again until you do.
