    Submarine thriller-ending will have you on edge of your seat

    Gerard Butler at his finest - as a sub Captain. The bad thing, well 2 things: Dialogue gets a bit dodgey - even if you Follow the film script, it's hard to figure out at times 2nd - some of the good guys go down. Ouch Why I watch it over and over: Story-new twists on sub story Action- switches scenes a lot, but you always know what's going on. Director calls it a thriller. Oh yeah. There is never a lull Cast- excellent-Butler leads the way, but Rest of cast are top shelf. Ending- "What just happened?" takes On whole new meaning. Oh yeah

    Hunter Killer - An enjoyable guy movie

    Hunter Killer is a total guy movie that falls somewhere between the classic paperback and gamer generation. The story was interesting and I enjoy it for what it is. Fiction. It tells a different story than Hunt for Red October but shares qualities with it for the genre. I get the characters and appreciate their personal qualities even if you don't have much time to get to know them. My only complaint is the language used by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff played by Gary Oldham. Not professional or becoming of a Naval Officer in my opinion. YMMV. The real footage of the Virginia class sub(s) is neat. The CGI is fair to good. I enjoyed the sound and musical score! Listen with headphones or good surround system for best results. 3.75 Stars (would have a 4.0 Stars if not ...

    Great Submarine Movie

    A great Submarine movie -- could be considered a remake-update of Red October. Looks authentic, great story in the vein of cold war politics, rogue generals, and plots going back to Dr Strangelove, and Seven Days In May. Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman are excellent in their parts, as always. A good movie to take in, since the theaters will be closed until the covid19 flu goes away.
