    The best

    Easily King Crimson's best album ever! And it was the introduction of Adrian Belew & Tony Levin to the band. Two contributions that really changed the sound of the band. Belew's guitar playing is the perfect counterpoint to Robert Fripp's guitar playing. Levin's bass and Chapman Stick playing work well against Bill Brufords drumming. The band was on fire on this album. All the tracks are outstanding. My personal favorite is Elephant Talk. That song starts out with Levin on the Chapman Stick, doing both a bass line and some higher register finger tapping parts, then the rest of the band come crashing in, and never let up until the very last note. The rest of the album is full of all kinds of counter-rhythms, odd time signatures, and other general progressiveness. This is a musician's ...
