    Best you can get

    I ride every day in the Pacific NW, so I ride in every type of weather. These are gentle on rims yet high performance. They’re softer so their life isn’t super long, but it’s a good trade for performance and not gouging the rims.

    Kool-Stop always has the best stuff.

    Kool-Stop always has the best stuff. One thing to bear in mind, though, is that they carry a wide variety of brake shoes for a wide variety of applications. You have to be sure that what you're getting fits your application. I've made the mistake of not being certain a couple of times, so I have some spare Kool-Stops sitting in my parts box that I might never use.

    Using these on 2 bikes

    Already had these on a Diamondback Wildwood and fell in love with them--they have great bite wet or dry. VERY quiet once they're adjusted correctly-I couldn't be happier. These I just bought are going on a Specialized Hardrock hopefully with the same great results. Just FYI I'm mainly a trail rider with a little bit of down hill thrown in for fun and these work well.

    Longest lasting in poor weather and rough conditions

    I have been using Kool-Stop brake pads on my bike for city riding. These have been the best pads I have found to be able to hold up against the rain, wet, grit, muck, and hills of my daily commute. Easy enough to install and no squealing.

    These are good brake pads

    These are very good brake pads that I am using on a Surly LHT touring bicycle. I personally prefer the dual compound rather than the pure salmon or black ones. I don't know about their longevity since I just put them on but they have good stopping-power.
