    Large/ Extra Large or Extra Extra Large?

    This thumb support feels great, very comfortable, supports my thumb well and relieves pain. However, if I am wearing it when I'm not active with my hands my thumb will go numb. If I am busy with my hands it is fine. My guess is that the L/XL universal size is on the small side. If there were a XXL I would give it a try. When working I sometimes wear a Mechanix glove that is Large and fits snug, perfect for dexterity and handling screws, etc... I believe Mechanix gloves should be snug fitting. The extra large sized Mechanix gloves fit like a regular glove really should on my hands but it is not as good when handling screws. Maybe this description I have given will help your choice on size selection.

    Good but problematic

    I added these thumb stabilizers to my looking-for-the-perfect-brace collection since I wear one on each hand for CMC arthritis. It is better than some, but for me the elastic around the IP joint near the top is too tight on one of the two I bought. The inconsistency is worrisome. I haven't tried cutting the elastic, but that may do the trick. Other than this the brace is gives good support and it's comfortable. Overall, I prefer the same brand flesh colored brace. Both can be warm. Make sure you try one before you buy another.

    use

    I use it when my thumb is extremely painful. I first rub in a CBD product in the area and then put the splint on. It helps to stabilize the thumb so that the CBD cream can take effect better and faster.
