NotesVinyl reissue. Breakfast in America was the sixth album by the band Supertramp, released in 1979. It was recorded the previous year at the Village Recorder in Los Angeles. The album featured four hit singles: "The Logical Song" (#6), "Goodbye Stranger" (#15), "Take the Long Way Home" (#10), and the title cut (#16). The album's front cover was designed by Mike Doud and depicted Kate Murtagh as a Statue of Liberty figure with the twin World Trade Center towers appearing as two stacks of boxes and the plate of breakfast represents Battery Park, the departure point for the Staten Island Ferry.

  • Less than impressive

It doesn’t come in the original jacket, but is in a thicker sleeve. Album is listed as new, but upon inspection looks used. It is a gift for a nephew so I haven’t played it.

  • Breakfast in America

Bought this album to frame in my newly remodeled kitchen. It looks great with my grey, yellow-gold color scheme, and I love the nostalgia of having this album once again. It was a favorite of mine back in the late 70's early 80's.

Album was marred with cloud streaks on both sides and required extensive cleaning; after which, played and sounded great.
