    Butkus, the finest Bear, the most fearsome Bear

    Perfect. I had no sense whatever that Mr. Butkus would depart this world, but now I have a memorial to a great Chicagoan. He was mean, no doubt, but he had a sense of humor and no one was forced to play against. They volunteered for those brutal tackles. All my beatings have made me stronger, so I can look at this and pretend he's coming after me . . .
