It also keeps a steady focus that does not alter the overall image results. What also makes this Nikkor model very efficient is the fact that it comes with a sturdy grip. This grip will come in handy during any situation or photo shoot, providing you with better handling of the lens. This makes using it much more comfortable and efficient, letting you take very accurate shots without unwanted movement. Thanks to its high-quality diaphragm, it helps to improve the look of out-of-focus objects. It is also compatible with all Nikon SLR cameras and Nikon F mounts. These Nikon lenses come with a standard D-type design that offers accurate distance information when in use. Such information is important when controlling the ambient light exposure and flash features on the device. It also comes with a very close focusing distance of just 1.3 ft. at 200mm. This is especially short for 28mm to 200mm zoom lenses. If ever you wish to attach a filter to this 28mm to 200mm lens, it's compatible with a thread size of 62mm. These f/3 lenses weigh well under a pound, allowing them to readily fit on your DSLR without adding lots of weight. This zoom-Nikkor lens measures 4.1 inches by 4.1 inches by 7.1 inches, making it small enough to fit in a purse or messenger bag. When controlling the aperture settings of this Nikon lens, the maximum is set to f/3.5 with a range of f/3.5 to 5.6. The rounded diaphragm included with this item comes with a seven-blade architecture that helps to provide a natural blur. The ED glass, in particular, offers fantastic color correction and sharpness by basically eliminating chromatic aberration.     Will like it-

    Once I get it back from Authorized Photo Service it will be a refurbished lens. Would not autofocus from135-200 mm. Getting a near full- gut repair on the inside costing what I won it for on the auction. Exterior condition was good, but inside was worn out. I'll have to 'use out' my investment in the repair. Bought as a vacation lens for times I didn't want to carry 2.8 glass. Still much cheaper that the current model-and much smaller. Plastic body and mount may be a little less robust for professional use, but it's not a pro lens anyway.

    Not many people know the value of this lens!

    I was looking for something affordable and lightweight for walking around not carrying my entire bag with me. I literally just got this lens today 03.26.2020 and I have to say that I'm very pleased with the performance of this lens. The lens tends to be a little bit soft on the edges at 200mm. I only played in the house and took couple of shots by the window and I was very impressed. Now, you have to keep in mind that you get what you're paying for. This is not a fixed aperture, but in my opinion, it is as sharp as the ones that cost a hand and a leg. For those people that just started photography for fun or personal events, it is the one lens that will do the job for you indoor or outdoor.     Great Middle Range Zoom

    Very Nice mid-range zoom. Very Sharp images at slower shutter speeds even with out VR , and perfectly pairs with my first Full Frame Body. Much better utilized in daylight, due to limited F-stop aperture range. Given the price point, I would highly recommend this lens as a means to avoid carrying a bag full of lenses. This lens and one Fast Prime Lens of your choosing and you are ready to go anywhere.
