Sweet and life-enhancing
The author follows the sequence of events triggered by a small, accidental oversight, and logs their consequences for a series of otherwise unconnected people. It's a very French book in some ways, and completely anchored in a certain time in the 80s. but a similar story could have happened anywhere, at any time. It is surprising and very engaging and leaves you, as a reader, with a big smile on your face. The ending has a deliciously mischievous twist.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great read and excellent value
This book came in what looked like NEW condition. Maybe it was bought as a free second book on another order as it looked unopened. I loved the idea and for a novel in translation it really caught my imagination including the epilogue. I bought it for a book group discussion in July but I couldn't put it down and I've already finished it and it's only June 8th...will need to read again before our group discussion.
