The vacuum is basically brand new and I am so impressed with it's ability to clean carpets and hard floors. In comparison to our old Shark vacuum, it's like night and day. The Dyson is so powerful and will suck harder if it senses more dirt. The light on the hard floor setting is so useful in seeing dirt you didn't know was there. Great price compared to a brand new Dyson
