"Barker's eye is unblinking; he drags out our terrors from the shadows and forces us to look upon them and despair or laugh with relief." -- The Washington Post "Mixing elements of horror, science fiction and surrealist literature, Barker's work reads like a cross between Stephen King and South American novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez. He creates a world where our biggest fears appear to be our own dreams." -- Boston Herald "Mr. Barker is much more than a genre writer, and his extravagantly unconventional inventions are ingenious refractions of our common quest to experience and understand the mysterious world around us and the mysteries within ourselves." -- The New York Times Book Review "Clive Barker assaults our senses and our psyche, seeking not so much to tingle our spine as to snap it altogether." -- Los Angeles Times "Outstanding ... a powerful and fascinating writer with a brilliant imagination." --J.G. I got 4 books from this seller. One was wrong book (same writer, simular covers) which, when you order used books several at a time from big used book warehouses, this happens every now and then. Seller contacted me and refunded within a couple hours on the same business day. These people do business right. The 3 others were just as described, packed perfect. Shipping was on time. Good books at good price and a seller who does business right. I highly recommend this seller and the items I ordered.

This edition includes all 3 Books of Blood and an introduction from the author. The introduction is from a while back and led me to investigate a little further to find out a few startling things. I started Clive Barker's offerings with his large, roaming novels of Weaveworld, The Great and Secret Show, Imajica and Everville. If you go down this road start with Weaveworld and read them in order and watch an artist progress. Now I'm starting at ...
