    Bloody Fun

    Since this was a different take on the run-of-the-mill vampire movies, it "sucked" me into the story right away and held my interest until the end. The acting was decent, not Oscar worthy because the plot didn't lend itself to a wide range of emotions, but the actors did the job nicely. Blood and guts, especially at the end, round out the story for die-hard blood-thirsty fans, in addition to an actual plot. Sometimes vampire movies are too simplistic and the vampires just go around wreaking havoc. That was the case here as well - can't get away from that aspect if you're telling a vampire story - but the William Defoe and Ethan Hawke characters (as good guys) were "fleshed out" enough to make one care what happens, as well as Sam O'Neill's portrayal of the bad guy. All in all, a fun ...

    Since everyone who gets bit turns into a vampire they have a desire for human blood ( they cant use vampire blood) everything is fine vampires work with humans they cant handle sunlight and buy fresh blood from a store like Starbucks , only problem is everyone is becoming a vampire and the harvested human blood will run out soon . I have many vampire/zombie movies this is in top ten .
